Cairns to Horn Isand MEALS LD
Flights have been arranged to take you from Cairns to Horn Island today. Upon arrival an eXpedition10 crew member will meet you at the airport to escort you to your first Island exprience at the local Museum. Following lunch, explore more of Horn Island, including touring the WW2 sites and ruins with local historians Vanessa or Liberty.

Day 2 Monday, 8 June 2026
Horn Island to Roko Island MEALS BLD
One of the best way to enjoy the Torres Islands is by boat. This morning we will board a specially arranged charter boat to cruise The Strait. Enjoy views as we cruise by many islands including Possession Island, where Captain James Cook landed in 1770. A monument marks the place. Enjoy lunch on Roko Island before continuing the cruise to the Northern most point on Mainland Australia - Cape York. Take a stroll via the beach and headland to the famous sign at the very tip of Cape York taking in the views along the way. After everyone has taken enough pictures of this special moment, return to the vessel to cruise back to Roko Island for an overnight stay on the island.

Roko Island to Thursday Island
Roko Island is a small island known for its unique eco-glamping, fishing charters, and pearl farm history, offering a delightful tropical getaway. Spend the morning enjoying the sights and facilities of Roko Island before bidding the island farewell and cruising across to Thursday Island, the vibrant administrative and commercial hub for Australia’s Torres Strait Islands, located north of Cape York. Liberty, our guide on Thursday Island will show the island sights and tell us the history in his unique islander way. A visit to Thursday Island would not be complete without visiting Rosies Place, the home art studio and gallery of award-winning textile artist, Rosie Ware.

Day 4 Wednesday, 10 June 2026
Island Hopping MEALS BLD
Thursday Island and Prince of Wales Island
The day begins with Breakfast at Joey’s place cafe followed by some free time for shopping, visiting the local Cultural centre or just relxing on the island. Around midday, board the local water taxi for a relatively short trip to catch up with Frances, a local on Prince of Wales Island. Frances will welcome us to her island and give an insight of what it’s like to live on an remote tropical island. After our visit, return by water taxi to Thurday Island.

Day 5 Thursday, 11 June 2026
Island Hopping MEALS LD
Badu Island, Horn Island and flight to Cairns
Our next island visit is quite a hop so we’ve arranged a charter flight to take us from Horn Island to Badu Island. Our local guide on Badu Island will be Nancy who will meet us at the Badu Airport to transfer us to the local art gallery. Badu island is renowned for its Art Centre, which produces internationally recognised printmaking, carvings, and textiles. Continue touring the island with Nancy and enjoy a beautifully prepared island lunch provided by our host before returning to the Badu Airport for flight back to Horn Island where our flight back to Cairns will soon be departing.
