Tom Price to Karijini Meals BLD
Your adventure begins today in Tom Price with a town and mine tour. During the tour your guide will take you to the pit lookout and to view trucks, shovels and drills, the crushing and screening plants and the train loading are to view loading into the massive carts on some of the longest trains in the world! Following lunch, take a drive to Karijini. Karijini Eco Retreat is nestled amongst native bushland at the edge of Joffre Gorge, along with an outback restaurant and bar, with great access to the park’s walks.

eXplore Karijini Meals BD
Gorges of ancient rock, cool swimming holes and showering waterfalls make Karijini National Park one of Australia’s most dramatic and spectacular destinations. Today we will eXplore a wonderland of ancient natural landscapes formed more than two billion years ago – deep gorges, red cliffs, towering waterfalls and emerald green waterholes, while experiencing a taste of genuine mateship and friendly hospitality. At dusk, watch the colourful Pilbara sunset slowly merge with an endless blanket of stars as the darkness reveals the Milky Way.

Karijini to Eighty Mile Beach Meals BLD
Travelling north, keep watch for the crimson flowers of the Sturt Desert Pea beside the road. Pause in Port Headland, a bustling Indian Ocean port, one of the three major iron ore ports in the Pilbara and home to enormous ships and huge trains as long as three kilometres and with up to 300 wagons. Continuing north, the Great Northern Highway fringes the Great Sandy Desert and runs alongside Eighty Mile Beach. Tonight will be a fantastic time to enjoy the colours of the sun setting over the Indian Ocean.

Eighty Mile Beach to Broome Meals BD
From Eighty Mile Beach, return to the Great Northern Highway to travel further north to Broome. The route travels along the western edge of the Great Sandy Desert and take us past the remote Sandfire Roadhouse, traverses Anna Plains and crosses Anna Plains Station. Anna Plains Station is a large cattle property covering over 3000 square kilometres, running more than 20,000 head of stock. Further north Pass through Roebuck Plains Station before arriving in Broome for the next two nights.

Broome Meals BD
Broome, with its tropical charm, is the portal to Kimberley, which is an exceptional and untouched wilderness that stands out among the world’s most stunning destinations.
In its early days, the pearling town of Broome attracted workers from different corners of the world to forming a diverse and culturally rich town.
While in Broome we will take time to explore and visit many picturesque locations. 
Known as the pearl capital, we will take a short drive north to Willy Creek Pearl Farm to join a tour to gain a unique insight into the fascinating process of modern pearl farming, from shell to showroom.
This evening, enjoy the perfect finish to the day watching the sun set into the ocean from Cable Beach.

Broome to Derby to Horizontal Falls Meals BLD
Travelling north from Broome, cross the mighty Fitzroy River to arrive in Derby to join a thrilling low-level seaplane flight straight to the heart of Horizontal Falls. Aboard power boats, take an exciting cruise through the gorges before spending the remainder of your day cruising the turquoise calm of Talbot Bay.
There will be time to swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear water before being welcomed on board a floating houseboat pontoon for an indulgent evening. Enjoy sunset drinks on the deck paired with a dinner of local Barramundi as you stargaze the night sky, nightcap in hand before retreating to your private air-conditioned cabin for a restful night.

Derby to Bell Gorge/Silent Grove Meals BLD
Awake to a freshly cooked breakfast as you prepare for the return journey to Derby where your coach and crew await to take you eXploring on the Gibb River Road.
Call in to Windjana Gorge well know as the haven for fresh water crocodiles quite often seen basking on the sandy river banks.
A little further along the track we will detour into Silent Grove, the access point to Bells Gorge and Falls. Tonight we will be camping under the stars in eXpedition10’s luxury tents.

Bell Gorge to Ellenbrae Meals BLD
While camp is being packed up you are welcome to take a walk into Bells Gorge. The walk is just 4 kilometres return, (classed as a grade 2 walk to the lookout - so reasonably easy. It does get a bit tougher should you choose to climb down to the falls from the lookout.
Continuing along the Gibb River Road today, visit Galvins Gorge for a chance to take a refreshing swim under the falls (2 klm Return - grade 2 walk). Then, time permitting, visit Manning Gorge and Mount Barnett Roadhouse.
This afternoon, sit back and relax as we continue to Ellenbrae Station for our next two night stopover.

Day 10 Friday, 26 July 2024
Ellenbrae to Mitchell Falls Meals BLD
Put on your walking shoes for today’s eXpedition. The day will begin with a scenic flight from Ellenbrae to the Mitchell Plateau airfield where a 4X4 experience awaits to transfer the start of the Punamii-unpuu Hiking Trail, a 4.5km to Mitchell Falls. Various stops along the trail include the picturesque Little Merten Falls with refreshing rock pools and stunning gallery of Gwion Gwion artwork immediately below.
Next break in the walk is at Big Merten Falls with awesome vistas over the gorge beyond before arriving at the Mitchell River crossing. This is an excellent place for a swim and to then finding the perfect rock ledge to enjoy a picnic lunch with the majestic Mitchell Falls in full view.
After ample time to explore, board our helicopter for a scenic flight and 4x4 drive to the airfield where our flight awaits returning to Ellenbrae. For those not wishing to participate in the scenic walk to/from Mitchell Falls there is the option, at an additional cost, for helicopter transfers each way.

Ellenbrae to El Questro Meals BL
Continuing further along the Gibb River Road today, tackle the rocky  Durack River crossing, pause to admire the stunning view from the Cockburn Range Lookout and again at the Pentecost River crossing. Shortly after, arrive at El Questro Station for another two night stay.

There’s so much to see and do at El Questro, with a visit to the 700,000-acre property, famous for its ancient gorges, waterfalls and rockpools, rivers and creeks, and many vantage points and lookouts. El Questro  to Kununurra Meals BD
There still may be time to explore some of the gorges this morning proir to departing El Questro for Kununurra. Take a detour north to the Wyndham, the ,ost northern port in Western Australia. A short drive to The Bastion Lookout for in breathtaking views of the five rivers - the King, Ord, Durack, Forrest and Petecost Rivers which all flow into the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf. This afternoon, arrive in Kununurra, established as a service centre for the Ord River Irrigation scheme which in provides the water for huge areas of farmland which produce crops such as sandalwood, mangoes, chia, citrus, melons and much more.

Day 14 Tuesday, 30 July 2024
eXplore Purnululu Meals BL
Start your day with a scenic flight from Kununurra flying over the Ord Irrigation Area, Lake Kununurra and Lake Argyle.to arrive at Purunlulu. After short drive enjoy a guided walk amongst the famous eroded towers and black and orange banded beehive structures on the Domes Walk. Your guide will take you into Cathedral Gorge, where towering cliffs open up to form a space with awe inspiring natural acoustics. Then along the bed of Piccaninny Creek, which flows only in the monsoon waterfall season. The walk distance is about 3km.
Follow up this amazing adventure with an exhilarating helicopter flight over the beehive shaped domes before returning via a scenic flight to Kununurra, 
Please Note: Todays activities include a moderate 3km walk along a creek bed with sand and loose stones, short rocky slopes and a ladder with double handrails.

Visit Lake Argyle Meals BLD
South of Kununurra is Lake Argyle. The lake is approximately 18 times the size of Sydney harbour and plays a pivotal role in the irrigation of the lands in and around Kununurra. Lake Argyle lies in the Ord River and when built in 1963, flooded much of Argyle Station taken up many years prior by the Durack Family. We will visit the former workers camp, now holiday park, established to house workers building the dam before boarding our vesel for a ‘leisurley’ cruise down the Ord River to Kununurra. We should arrive just in time to view sunset over the Ord Dam.
